Our Approach

Instituting Change for Sustainable Impact is most effective when it is integrated into and supported by an organization’s Culture.

Culture is the DNA of an organization – be it society, family, living systems or business.  Unfortunately, being part of an organization can leave us blind to many aspects of our own Culture.  The goal, then, is to identify those elements and practices that promote the ideals we are striving for.

Culture does not show up readily in employee questionnaires and the subsequent data generated. It lives in the relational spaces between people, in the organizational stories and the informal organizational customs

Listening to and collating stories means that you can assess the different cultures within an organization. You can assess the Developmental Stages of the cultures present and begin to understand what level of change and what kind of change that part of the system can best integrate.

What does a typical Story Work engagement look like?

Phase 1

 

Story listening workshops

We hold Story Listening workshops with participants from diverse groups from across the organisation, including customers and stakeholders, to hear the stories of the cultures present in an organisation.

Phase 2

 

Story Transcribing and Scoring

Participants share their personal experiences of success at work or in relation to engaging with the organisation. The success factors and patterns are listened to and captured.

Phase 3

 

Patterns analysis and Report Development

Fraendi consultants analyse the patterns so they can be mapped back into communications, change processes and strategy.

StoryMapping Outcomes

The StoryMap is a comprehensive and fundamental part of culture change.

It provides context from which to make decisions which are more likely to be understood and accepted by employees and stakeholders.

It identifies and values established success factors for individuals and teams.

The value of these patterns can be positively used and reinforced in the change process.

Story scenarios among the workforce allows you to measure the performance potential available in your organization.

As the success drivers express the performance potential in your workforce, capturing the preferences for story scenarios among the workforce allows you to measure the performance potential available in your organization. Mapping it over functions and teams, you can highlight pockets of lower motivation and areas of self-sustained high achievement. In that way, you can direct your leadership attention to the areas that most need it.

Strategies can be created focusing on the stories you want to support or reinvigorate in the company .
